Great article….We have camped many summers with our children and I have seen first hand how easily children can entertain themselves in natural environments – on a beach, in a lake, in a forest, in a campsite. They love it. They don’t need video games, toys, or movies…they do imaginary play, they run around, they scour the beach for shells, they gather pine cones, they build things out of sticks and stones, they examine anenomes and banana slugs, they climb rocks. I think there are many health, ecological and spiritual benefits for kids who have a chance to play in nature!!! Kim
